We had a lovely lunch today at Freshman’s. The fish was cooked nicely & the batter was crisp. We couldn’t believe the fantastic value & the waitress even advised us on the specials. The restaurant was dog friendly as well which was great as we were with our cockapoo .
Wow! This place offers the most amazing portion sizes , fantastic quality and all for a great price. Cheapest fish and chips I’ve had for ages. So glad we chose to eat on our way home from Llandudno and call in at Colwyn bay. The girl who was serving was friendly and helpful and seemed to be running everything on her own - well done! Will definitely return . Outstanding !
Stopped here off thr cuff travelling from Manchester yo Caernarfon Friday night. Me, hubby and 5 year old, as the latter wanted fish and chips. Place is fairly big and clean and at 5pm there where a few others already eating in. Ladies working there were polite and helpful. We had 2 specials of fish, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter and a tea for 8 each and a portion of scampi and chips again 8 and extra 2 curry sauces. All cooked fresh and can honestly say the best we have had in a long time. We will be back.
Beautiful fish and chips, friendly team, great value, can't fault. Bit cold in cafe for elderly so wrap up but we'll worth it . 5 year old niece loves it there too.
Ignore all negative reviews as this place is greatest that you could go to. Frank and other staff had amazing service. Food was freshly prepared on front of us and and served with care. Everything was clean and tidy - what else a person need?! Recommending
Fantastic friendly restaurant. Excellent value and quality. An OAP portion is offered, with a smaller fish, and is available to anyone. This was a perfect size for me! All freshly cooked and lightly battered as requested. Also dog friendly....we will be back!!

Had a meal here with some colleagues and no complaints, food was spot on, good portion sizes and value for money. Staff were also lovely and attentive, special shout out to Carly also for making the meal special!
